Watch your carbon footprint from Second Life

Tony Walsh asks the question is Second Life ecologically sustainable? A quick sum on the back of a fag packet by Nicholas Carr, suggest avatars consumes just a little less electricity than the world average for a person and as much as the average Brazilian. That’s right, the ammount of energy used by the servers hosting the virtual world could be having a very real environmental impact on the real one.
