That’s right, Google is shutting down answers. If anyone is wondering why – the graph from Hitwise makes it pretty self explanatory
Unlike Yahoo! who built a social community that share their expertise for free, Google created a fee paying model, where the person answering the question get paid. In 4 years they managed to get 800 people to provide answers, compared with the millions of people on Yahoo!
With MSN having recently launched their Live answers, didn’t expect Google to give up right now, but guess they’ve got other things in the pipeline.
