Google News Suggest - search terms
As more and more journalist turn to search to attract readers, finding that common language is going to be crucial to reaching that audience. Finding the right search terms has always been a science in itself and for most commercial queries, there’re many established tools provided by the search engines to show you exactly what people commonly use to find products and services. But these are pretty useless if you want to discover query words for current events, which don’t have a long history.
For anyone writing for traffic from search engine news - Google News Suggest is a good source of news query data. Like standard Google Suggest - popular queries are suggested as you type.
This was another little gem developed by a Google engineer on his 20% time given for personal projects. Well done that man!
