Google buying adwords for Bush and Blair

It’s been a long time since I searched on the Google bombs for Miserable Failure and Liar- So, I was shocked to see during a recent training session where I used these examples to demonstrate the use of Anchor text in relevance, to see Google’s Adwords campaignto explain these results as pranks and not the most relevant results as per Google’s algorithm. This kind of worries me. On many brand searches like one for ‘Mcdonalds’, sites like M c S P O T L I G H T are on the first page of Google. Why/how/should Google decide that all those thousands of sites and blogs linking to Bush and Blair are pranksters (not expressing a genuine opinion), but the opinions about Mcdonalds are valid.  

This is a very bad move my Google, one that would make me question their impartiality.
